“Thoughts become things. If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.” ~ Bob Proctor

This is a new week and with this comes different experiences, challenges, choices.
Sometimes we get stuck, we can’t move forward.
POWER OF THOUGHTS
What holds us back from doing what we really want to do? For me, it’s my thoughts, they control a lot of my day. Why is it so easy to let the negative thoughts take center stage.
INTERNAL BATTLE
Everyday, I have to work towards turning those negative thoughts away. That is why I felt this quote from Bob Proctor is a great motivational quote. It’s a reminder to us that our thoughts can become things. So why not focus on the positive thoughts that go through our heads and let them play out.
NEGATIVITY GETS IN THE WAY OF MY PAINTBRUSH!
This is watercolor picture, I was very negative on painting it. I love to do realist art. So when I decided to take a Skillshare class on fantasy birds, I knew this was going to be a challenge for me. I was very negative about taking this Hummingbird and moving past the realism to a more fanciful look.
Some of my reasoning was:
- It will look stupid.
- Will it look like fantasy or just trying too hard?
- Unprofessional
I gave it go because I really wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone. What I discovered durning this watercolor?
I had fun! I enjoyed taking my wild imagination and using it to create this Hummingbird. That it was ok to loosen up!!
So as you go into this week, I hope this quote is a gentle reminder that our thoughts are powerful.
