Happy August! Beginning this months watercolor challenges, I am starting with #doodlewashAugust2021 with the prompt: Elephant. Who can pass up watercoloring a fun elephant playing with the dirt. This was definitely taking me out of my comfort zone. With the reading of the book, Colorways: Watercolor Animals: Tips, techniques, and step-by-step lessons for learning to paint whimsical artwork in vibrant watercolor by Shaunna Russell, I was able to work on this watercolor.
