Thursday Doors~ Venice, Italy

For today’s Thursday Doors, we take a trip to Venice, Italy. Doors are so symbolic, open a door to a future, close a door to a past. Sometimes there is something behind the door that we are hiding. Currently having a door closed to the outside world will protect you from the Coronavirus.

I have decided to use this photo for the clouds.

I took a pen and ink drawing class for 3 weeks. This drawing was created with a traditional crow quill pen, Indian ink, and a few wood sticks.

Also, a flat brush was used for the washes on Bristol paper.

Here is the reference photo that I used. My father took this picture on one of his travels.
