I highly recommend this book. It’s a perfect TIME to read it now during this uncertain time.
My favorite place in the whole world is Positano, Italy. This is a picture from inside my hotel room in Positano. When things get rough, I close my eyes and take a mental vacation. I lay down on my heating pad, listen to one of the “insight timer” music or guided meditations.
I work on making my meditation area as peaceful as possible. Sometimes I spray the room with a Lavender spray or coconut room spray. I know Amazon has wonderful options. I also use an eye mask to make sure that it’s very dark to help me relax even farther.
Also, I use other images from my Pinterest board that I have collected that make me feel very relaxed before going into mediation.

Here are a few of my own photographic images that I hope can create a mental vacation break for you.
So as we approach another week of “Stay Safe and Stay Inside”, use images and videos to help you mentally escape and have a little vacation.
Another fun way to relax and get away at home is to use youtube videos that are peaceful and relaxing.
It’s not easy to get motivated during a time like this. People get motivated to go to the gym every morning, do the very best job at work, Play their best game on their school sport, the list goes on.
Our new motivation has changed in the past few days. Now the motivation is how can we be socially distant and keep everyone in the family health. It’s not an easy task but it is one that I’m sure we all can successfully do.

“Thoughts become things. If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.” ~ Bob Proctor
This is a new week and with this comes different experiences, challenges, choices.
Sometimes we get stuck, we can’t move forward.
What holds us back from doing what we really want to do? For me, it’s my thoughts, they control a lot of my day. Why is it so easy to let the negative thoughts take center stage.
Everyday, I have to work towards turning those negative thoughts away. That is why I felt this quote from Bob Proctor is a great motivational quote. It’s a reminder to us that our thoughts can become things. So why not focus on the positive thoughts that go through our heads and let them play out.
This is watercolor picture, I was very negative on painting it. I love to do realist art. So when I decided to take a Skillshare class on fantasy birds, I knew this was going to be a challenge for me. I was very negative about taking this Hummingbird and moving past the realism to a more fanciful look.
Some of my reasoning was:
I gave it go because I really wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone. What I discovered durning this watercolor?
I had fun! I enjoyed taking my wild imagination and using it to create this Hummingbird. That it was ok to loosen up!!
So as you go into this week, I hope this quote is a gentle reminder that our thoughts are powerful.
