Cute Spooky Halloween Short Stories

The Screaming Pumpkin Patch

One Halloween night, these two friendly Ghost went for a walk in an abandoned pumpkin patch. They had finished early with their trick and treating so they decided to find a quiet place to share their candy. As they were wandering around looking for a place to settle, a spider landed on the head of the little Ghost. Well, that was too much for the little Ghost. He began to scream! This only freaked out his friend, who also began to scream! Their screaming echoed into the night frightening others who were nearby. The old abandoned pumpkin patch is known for injecting fear to those who enter it’s patch.

Farewell Broomstick

There once was a witch name Miranda who riding on loved her broom stick during the cold autumn nights. One night as she was getting ready for her ride, she found her broomstick broken in two! Poor Miranda was so brokenhearted she just had to give her broomstick a proper burial. Every night Miranda would take her self to the graveyard and visit her broomsticks burial site. She never knew she was being watched by spooky little friends.

It was Miranda’s cat who went into a jealous rage one evening and had broken her broomstick. For he never liked when she spent so much time with her beloved broomstick. No, Miranda never figured out that it was her cat who had done the deed.

Island- Word Of The Day Challenge

Palmtrees sunset

Watercolor by Daphsam

Palm trees swaying in the sunset evening on the little island of Forget-me-not. The cool sand dances between my toes, as I walk towards the ocean. The ocean waves lull my heart into a peaceful beat.  On the island of Forget me not, I spend my days relaxing and watching the simplicity of the palm trees just be.

My thoughts of a busy, crazy life are not allowed here. The island is reminding me, to just be. Take the simplicity of ocean waves, sandy beaches, palm trees, colorful skies and soak it in. On the island, life is taken day by day, minute by minute.  Go to the island to quiet your mind. Let yourself get lost into the moment. Look down at your toes and see the sand covering your feet. You are here, in the now.

Don’t forget about the island of Forget-me-not.

A Place To Meditate Watercolor & Pen Drawing

   A Place To Meditate

Aplacetomediate

Imagine what it would feel like to walk barefoot on these warm wooden planks. The earthy colors greeting your eyes creating an awareness of inner balance. From above the crystal blue sky shines brightly down on you. A warm tropical breeze brushes your skin like a feathery touch.

Your eyes drift down to the zen candles. You take a deep breath from within. Your senses are treated with warm sweet vanilla. The trickling water drops from the bamboo faucet lull you into a tranquil state. Lotus flower floating in the water leaving a trail of sparkles diamonds in its wake.

All is well. You are relaxed. You are safe in this place to meditate.

The Little Rowboat

CRboat on rocks copy

Photography in Amalfi Coast outside of the Grotta dello Smeraldo

Alone and forgotten. For how long, I do not know. The crystal blue waters beating against my sides before continuing on to crash against the rocky mountain.

Where did everyone go?

Have I truly been abandoned?

For many years, the waters around me were bustling with fishermen, sailors, and tourists. My livelihood was taking daily rides into the Emerald Cave. The dark, damp cave holds awe and wonders for all. The echos of excitement on seeing the green light inside the cave are now a distant memory. An eery quiet blankets me and the ocean.

My days are passing with riding out the waves that come my way. The world has fallen silent. Will eager faces of tourists ride my boat again?

Is this the new normal?

So I wait, side by side with my rocky mountain and waves jostling me. When my people are ready to come back to me. I will be here, a quiet sentinel watching over my cave.
