BIRD IN THE NIGHT created in Procreate. One step at a time. It has been very hard to get back into art as I am mourning my Mom who passed away almost 2 weeks. I know Mom would want me to get back into the swing of things with my art. So yesterday, I sat down and decided to draw a bird. Probably because Mom always watched the birds who visited her bird feeders. I will slowly work on getting back to creating but I am happy that the mood struck yesterday.

I’ve been off of Instagram the past week, with a heavy heart I had to say goodbye to my mother. She passed away last Saturday. She was like an English rose, beautiful, full of elegance and grace. This watercolor I’m dedicating to her. I’ll be taking a little more time off of Instagram as I figure out this new normal. My husband and I were her main caregivers, so we’re trying to navigate this new world of not taking care of her anymore. Rest In Peace Mom

I am finishing up my Udemy class on Drawing and Painting on the iPad with Procreate. This was an ink drawing of flowers that I colored and then used some of my photography textures to create highlights and shading.
